Dunno if he really used ai, but I dont think that's really the point hes trying to make there. These ai scans are requesting to be paid for their translations when we could first and foremost use that money to support the authors. They not even doing a proper job translating and kinda ruining the experience here
apparently on their discord server, its stated that someone else made this new chiikawa themed info page for them.. personally it still looks very ai-like due to the easy mistakes like the noses or the eyebrows but yeah..
How is it two faced when it’s two separate issues. That’s a one dimensional take. Paywalling pirated work with AI translations is different to using AI personally. Sure AI is bad regardless but ones for profit and the other is not. There’s a clear distinction
I mean, JuJu has some integrity to never actually use AI on the scanlations and they opened the path of access for all when actual AI slop scanners have the audacity to put them behind a paywall. As a person who used to pay for Lezhin when scanlations were rare, I'd rather not pay an auto scanlation system some hustler built to give me content.
It's an asshole move for Jujucat to hate on AI scans and their paywall (I hate them too) but then proceed to use AI for their page, like hello?? Two-faced much?? Other than that, ty for uploading the officials ig
