I can see why she’s worried about those two since the situation very much mirrors hers in ways.
One difference in it though is the fact I think he’s in a dangerous/abusive household? It’s been hinted. While he is communicating poorly to his fiancé I’m guessing he doesn’t want to risk them being close either cause A) People hurting him will hurt her or B) He’ll end up leaving his household so she’d have to find a new fiancé anyway. Just my ideas on what he’s thinking. Of course he’s doing a bad thing by not clearly communicating this to his fiancé. I’m giving all the characters some slack for being teens when it comes to their communication skills and ability to handle these situations. Doesn’t mean I’m excusing it or that who is hurt needs to be okay with it, I’m just more understanding on why they feel/do these things.
