He got himself thinking he was disgusting for doing what criminals do but still, with what the story told us, he kept doing his job so whatever happened to this kid he felt sorry for going into debt wasn't any turning point in his life but it was falling in love with the girl. And he transformed her problems into his and embraced them, commiting more crimes... So yeah, if the couple really wanted to disappear they should have gone to another city. Far away. . But stayed close so she could do her business and scam clients. They don't care about being caught because they're so deep in their depravity and see themselves as victims that the only thing they want is to be together by causing harm on others.
