Was here for the toxic yuri lookin of a thumbnail. I thought their dynamic was going to be enemies to lovers at least with the first few chapters, but no it’s ACTUAL toxic yuri. But not those “ooo she kinda bad” I was surprised by how deeper the story went. I love how the author wrote the characters. Junko is an actual villain and a really good one! Kayo was one too? But everything shifted when Satomi comes into the picture and sees Kayo beyond her efforts. Suddenly, the workforce isn’t the ring Junko and Kayo is in constant battle anymore. And Junko does NOT want that. Junko being conflicted of what Kayo is to her, whether it’s love or loathing, she is obsessed and wants to keep fighting with her (physically or not). She is GENUINELY terrifying of a character. Literally some chapters felt like I’m reading from horror manga. I feel bad for Yoshiko being involved in the mess.
Both characters got what they deserved in the end. Junko got the office all to herself back, got promoted, got into deep, the cycle continues. And Kayo grew. She may have gone into many messes after Junko, but she learned what really mattered in her work. +she got a hot and supportive girlfriend i am so happy for them. I would loved having a side chapter or a spin off of them.
And I LOVE that at the last chapter, the callback from their names being black and white. Now the colors from their outfits to their surroundings have switched, symbolizing where they are now.

A satisfying story left with no bad aftertaste!
