Seriously, I don't get the hang of it- whats the use of showing his past and sad life if the author really wanted a redemption arc? It's stupid at this point: fighting over a twink, blackmailing, falling in love and suddenly redemption? At this point, it's just bad story writing, and I am complaining because I was genuinely excited for S2. It's just useless melodrama when i expected mature writing.

the author clarified that they just wanted to show mok's past to understand why he acts the way he does; but it was never an excuse, you shouldn't feel pity for him. it's about pure understanding. also we're barely a few chapters in, why would u call it poor writing when it's not even finished..

    author said in a tweet:

I have no intention of causing you pain, nor do I think that past misfortunes should serve as an excuse. As for the adults who influenced the child's life, even if they were lacking and imperfect, I don't want to call them evil people. It was simply time to show how the character Huang Mok Yeon— his personality and behavioral patterns, the psychological foundations and thought processes.

i have read a lot of manhwas and mangas, i didnt mean to hate on it, as I said, i was excited to read S2. But the way they included his past and suddenly included the redemption arc is definitely the wrong sequence. They could have done it much better, and it's my opinion because I have been a reader for a long and yeah i read her tweet but that doesnt help this scenario is any way.

I am not complaining about his past. The past is what it is. I understand it, and I don't pity him a bit about it, but there's a thing called a storywriting sequence, and I expected much from a good story like this.

I Cannot anymore how are people soooooo dumb ? You are complaining about Story's pacing. And replies are about "oh you shouldn't feel pity " . Do people even read properly, process then reply ? Is it low IQ or self opinion insertion everywhere ? I genuinely thank my parents for my brain .

They probably didn't read it properly before replying. Well, at least you understood.

Agree, this is not good writing compared to s1. They could have made mature story with gradual progression of the relationship between them but instead they opted for soap opera type of story. Even the artstyle has changed.
