Well, the point really isn’t about this. It’s about the number of rejections he’s had ever since he was a child. Going past the fact that he felt abandoned by his biological parents, to then be literally abandoned by his adoptive parents and end up in foster care. It’s probably the first time he’s in love with someone so he’s quite literally reached his breaking point

The fact that he’s been abandoned by so many people makes it more baffling that he got this attached. It made sense that he was a playboy who never got into anything serious before Nanjo, but I guess someone like that falling deeply in love was bound to be a disaster.
Yeah it’s probably baffling to him the most lmfao. People don’t have their first love so late in life. He quite literally does not know how to deal with that. He wrecked it before it could even begin and now he’s no different than a child who broke a vase and is falling apart because he can’t seem to put the pieces back together no matter how desperately he tries. I’m really curious to see how he’ll pull himself back together.
