The end of the first season I was so proud of Sooyoung for telling both Jihwan and Gyujin to take a long walk off of a short pier. Then he bounced leaving both of those psychos behind him.
But season two Sooyoung is horrible with his decision making. First smoking?? Gross. I understand that you have trauma and you freak out upon smelling Jihwan's cologne and catching a glimpse of his face. But couldn't you have warned your coworker for his safety and yours?? Luckily, nothing happened to him. And, yes, reality is far more intimidating than any scenario you can think of when confronting Jihwan. But Sooyoung why did you get into that car? What made you think it was a smart decision to have that conversation in Jihwan's penthouse?? And most importantly, what made you think having sex with Crazy was going to end things between y'all?! All it did was get him riled up even more!! Running might have been a temporary solution in the beginning, but after you slept with Jihwan you unlocked his full psychosis!! He went full dad mode and locked you up!! (Although I kinda saw that coming since the 1st season.)
Despite everything happening to Sooyoung, I don't think that the author needed to write in a pimp/mobster/loan shark/private investigator into his life. He's already got his hands full dealing with Crazy Jihwan.
And...I hate that Sooyoung worked so hard to get into college and we never get to see him enjoying it. The craziness could just been elevated to a college playing field instead of high school where even more drama could have been set.
