It's because desirescans are AI and bots. There's no actual effort involved on their part and I think they're uploaded by bots too so there's no logic involved.
They snipe real scanlation groups until they give up, and then ask for money to access the later chapters once they have no competition. Literally making money off low effort piracy
what's the point of updating unofficial translations when the official ones are ahead of them? I'm so lost.
