When Heejae couldn't hear the music, only silence, that's the reflection of his mental state. It was not disarray, it's calming rage. But shackling what you hold dear to yourself because of fear, being afraid to be alone, being afraid to prove them right, being afraid of oneself... Not facing the music at the end. They have been avoiding the reality of their relationship from a very long long time, it was meant to happen in the most violent way. Jae's loneliness was eating Garam alive because he did everything wrong.

I do feel sorry for Jae. I think no one is free from harming and being harmed. I believe at least once in everyone's lives we couldn't stop words too painful to say and be heard but still were said in a moment of rage, desperation or exhaustion. But not everyone have someone like Garam who can see our soul and understands. His emotional intelligence is his best weapon against Jae but he was tired. It was too much.

With or without Compton's influence, it was meant to happen sooner of later.
