So when shoujo/josei authors write stories about girls disguising themselves as boys, entering male spaces, and getting involved with groups of boys, it's been accepted for years and nobody gaf, but now when people see the same kind of trope with a feminine male character, they act like the story ruined their lives, harassing the author on twt and calling her work "straight bait" as if feminine men aren't allowed to exist.

I'm honestly tired of new bl readers and the way they treat twinks and feminine men, the disgusting mindset that every man has to be buff, masculine, and fit into a specific image, and if they're they somehow became "not real men" as there's correct way to be gay

And man, some people love throwing around their favorite word "heteronormative" every time they see a feminine man as an uke. The irony is that they themselves love viewing feminine men as women, then blame others for "making it seem that way" their love for linking feminine = women, as feminine traits can only belong to women

Also yes feminine man is still a man, being soft, pretty, weak, or feminine doesn't take someone's identity or automatically make them a woman
