I have the same thought. Every time I see this kind of trope, I think it would be better if the protagonist killed themselves.
But I try to put myself in the character's place and at least he should try to escape in every way possible, and as a last resort, commit suicide.
If MC killed himself and the two brothers went to despair... Would that be a happy ending?
Cuz I can't see MC killing the two cuz "he loves them like family" and they have this plot armor of being freakishly strong..
And they r too obsessed to let him go..
