Tbh the story is very interesting, but the reason (imo) that the mahwa feels dragged out is because the chapters are too short. If instead of 13-18 pages of the book per manhwa chapter they used, say, 25, it'd feel like there's less drama and it's easier to follow. Hyeonsoo is a realistic enough character for a BL (you can't expect a guy who always thought he was straight, to just accept he's bi/gay instantly), and Jeongyoon is so in love with Hyeonsoo (like, sickly sweet, the manhwa hasn't shown everything yet) that the thought of losing him could keep him in this situationship for years (it won't though, there's no timeskip dw).
Reading the novel, most of the stuff doesn't feel like just filler, and almost each arc is there justifiably, but the manhwa chapters are so short that it's frustrating.
I should also add that it's not like they use the end of each arc in the novel for the end of each manhwa chapter. This one for example (ch. 44) ends on the first paragraph of the novel page (I think 154?), and by the way the page continues, which was in chapter 45, chapter 44 could've just continued for a bit longer.
gotcha i think thats valid. the chapters getting cropped off in increments feels like it really is dragging. i genuinely wanna see em happy but its not my first rodeo watching a couple settle for the vague situationship i’m also reading blue name pressure and that one updates every 10 days in the official release
Thanks to someone asking the novel readers to estimate this, I did it.
Theyll most likely get together between chapter 62 and 64. The Korean raws are at chapter 51, so this means that English readers will get their chapter in late November or early December, and Korean readers will get ours in either early or late October. The REAL drama starts in 13-15 chapters, and it'll get more frustrating than it already is lol
