When I got to ch 63, I was confused with the characters' heritage especially the fl and ml. So I did a little bit of digging and remembering the past chapters and it went like this:
The former emperor and Greta(fl's grandmother) are siblings. The former emperor then had 3 child, the current emperor, Vanessa(Jonas's mother), and the other princess(forgot the name). On Greta's side, it wasn't mention the name of her children but they existed, so they are cousins (first degree cousins) with the former emperor's children.
Because of the railway contract(correct me if I'm wrong), Vanessa married the current Duke and had Jonas as a result. After Vanessa died, the Duke married Sophia and had the ml. On Greta's side, she had two grandchildren, older sister of fl(forgot the name), and fl. While the current emperor was also blessed with 3 children, (2 of them are currently fighting for the throne). That means, Jonas, Fl, fl's older sister, and current emperor's children are 2nd degree cousins. I didn't include the ml because his bloodline stems from Sophia and Duke's. So he is not really related to them by blood (which is really important), you could say the imperial family are his step-family
Now, remember when it was mentioned that Jonas fooled around with fl's oldersister and had the current heir to the winterwald?(cause I forgot the name) Jonas and her are 2nd degree cousins. Incest. Jonas literally fathered his nephew.
I'm just glad the ml had no blood ties with the imperial family cause if he did, it'll be a double incest with Judith, just like what Jonas did with her older sister. Nonetheless this is honestly a good read, even though I had to stress over their bloodline that I had to write it down on paper. Not sorry if I spoiled some shit, there are still more plot twists in the story that are not mentioned here so dw(▰˘◡˘▰)
