I might as well put a spoiler warning on my theories cuz they r both spot on.
Both the regressor dude with problems with his wife is an actual devil and our ML faked his death when "sacrificing" himself for FL.
╮(￣▽￣)╭ hahah nother spoiler is that he lived miserably cuz his fake death caused FLs actual death and only after her death did he realized hm he loved her lol. Stupid dude but not surprised
Personal THEORY but like:
If the story of ML and FL started due to their trauma bonding in this world, would it be the same as well in the last world?
And if the change only happen in this time as well where FL started going crazy at everyone who looks down at her and doesn't really sincerely interact with ML, would he actually sacrifice himself for FL?
And the fact that ML has a grand ambition to take down nobels- this is just a theory but..
I think ML also somewhat felt connection with FL due to how she reacts to how ppl look down at her and how she handles ppl when she went on the run, just like that Grandel dude- (or whatever his name was, the dude who might actually be a devil and not took a pack with one)
But he's not Inlove with FL enough to actually sacrifice himself- This is the twist! HE USED FLs RUN TO FAKE DEATH!!!
Lowkey would eat that shit up- cuz I have this sincere thoughts of ppl falling in love with their experiences with someone and not some dumb shi like fate. Like the idea that a person can fall in love with someone else if they didn't meet last lover from another life. And even if they met, it's just meeting a stranger.
