As a literature student, the author is just a teacher who guides us through the story, but doesn't necessarily have to show us how the story should actually go. There are authors who prefer to tell us "That's how the story goes, and that's just how I want you to see it," but there are others who tell us, "That's how the story can go, but it's up to you if you want it to go that way." Even so, I agree that it would be really messed up if they left it as an open ending ಠεಠ....

Pleaseee dont let these comment be right, not the open ending. I dont really get open endings, like y do the authors leave it to the audience we are merely an audience it is up to u to write a beginning and close an ending so pleaseee not this onee i cant be the one to cut the rope of being left hanging
