Yes, its up to the viewer to decide the ending for themselves
Open Ending means the author will make the ending open for interpretation, like it won’t be a confirmed ending like a happy ending where they end up together and live happily ever after or a sad ending where they don’t, it will be upto the viewers to imagine what the ending will be.
