I’m seeing a lot of ppl sympathise with eckles, and I get it to an extent. But I was genuinely so relieved when he died, I feel bad for his ppl, his countrymen he betrayed. And I feel bad that he had to live through slavery and the genocide of his people. I do but I also just don’t think it justifies selling out his people, tormenting and abusing Penelope. Yes she was using him, but he was living in far better conditions to his counterpart. I’m happy he died and can hopefully now find peace and love in his next life, but this life just wasn’t for him sadly.
