During former chapters, when Heejae's eye is zoomed in whenever he looks or thinks of Garam, it's a figure of pure white. And you guessed it, it's him projecting his ex-manager. I don't think the manager is bad, based on backstory, the manager was the only one (if not one of the) who genuinely carrd and try to form a deeper connection with Heejae. Cuz of that, ex-manager became Heejae emotional anchor/judge. The guilty feeling rises up whenever he is changing, as if his subconsious is telling him he does not deserve to be a better person cuz of all the trauma he inflicted. He kept thinking he does not deserve Garam.
But in the latest eye zoom in, when he thought of Garam, he sees Garam. We finally had thay confirmation that it's Garam he thinks about and feels about cuz of Garam's scar. Backing up the comment that ex-manager's ghost sealed up, cuz I think Heejae is finally coming to terms about his real feelings.
I love my middle aged unc cat sm, hes such a cat, a siamese cat at that
