I genuinely dislike Juheon so much

I used to think the same, but I guess its that kind of narrative like "I'm pushing you away to protect you, even if I dont communicate it to you and cant keep my distance as well", since his aunt its trouble and all. I kind of miss this series before the time skip.

yeah like I get why he’s doing it and I can understand him not wanting to hurt others, but instead of doing that he just acts like a martyr , but even though I complain I still really like the series lol I kept reading for a reason I guess

if you really dont think that what you did was hurtful for him and don't understand his character at all, then you simply are reading this entire story wrong

Same. Like I get he has abandonment issues but his behavior feels rlly disproportional to what dohu did. And at this point I don’t rlly gaf about his aunt/mom/whatever anymore they’re dragging this out too much

I understand that it was hurtful, but he acts like Dohu lied to him about their relationship which he never did. He never bothered to even ask Dohu about it either? Instead he just insults him even though he recognizes that Dohu doesn’t understand others in the same way everyone else does. He ran away from the issue. I can understand he’s struggling, but I can still dislike him. I didn’t say that it wasn’t hurtful, I said it wasn’t wrong of him. Literally in the most recent chapters Dohu explains exactly what happened, and Juheon still acts like Dohu did that to personally hurt him or something??? He wasn’t writing something malicious, he was making a character based off of him, he didn’t even know their relationship was more than just fwb until Juheon asked him clearly bruh

exactly!!! disproportional is a perfect word, like yes it upset you, but… you didn’t even try to understand the person you claimed to like so much like what eifiwkfmwj they make it very hard to sympathize with him when he acts like that

maybe dohu didn't lie, but he did approached him with ulterior motives, and that was the problem for juheon, because he was used to people getting close to him just to gain something and he thought dohu was different from them, so finding out about that triggered his trust issues.
and he didn't just ran away because of that, it was also to protect dohu from his aunt.

he did understand dohu didn't have any bad intentions, but that messed up his trust and got him wondering if dohu actually liked him back. even more because dohu never really said it out loud, and juheon is the kind of person that needs those things to be spelled out for him.

No it’s fine and honestly I don’t want to seem like I’m fighting with you or anything I like hearing other perspectives. The thing that just irks me is from the beginning it wasn’t really clear what their relationship is bc Dohu even said to him that he had thought they were just fwb to each other until Juheon clearly explained that it was more than that for him, and then Dohu realized that he might feel the same way. So he never even tricked him he should have definitely told him asap that he’d originally been writing the character so I can understand that. We both serious about this between the lines shart I guess I just am a little annoyed with juheon right now which makes me feel like I hate him

exactly, we, the readers, know that dohus feelings for him were genuine but he never told juheon clearly. i get why people would get annoyed with him, but if we try looking through his perspective, his reaction to it all is very understandable. he still wanted to stay with dohu, but his fear of being used and abandoned was bigger, his aunt threatening him only made things worse too.

He did tell him , he wasn’t fully sure of his feelings until the separation, and once he was he told Juheon, but that’s besides the point. I don’t even think he was wrong for being upset or leaving dohu in that moment. honestly my main problem is just how he’s acting now, he wants clarity but doesn’t bother to explain anything either, he insults dohu without even bothering to listen to him and yet expects to be listened to, he complains when dohu helps him, but then gets mad when he thinks dohu blocked him. I just think this new push and pull in the recent chapters is written a bit too forcefully. I really do get that juheon is struggling and he doesn’t want his aunt to hurt dohu, but he’s doing a terrible job at it He can clearly take down his aunt as we’ve been shown countless times already that he has a plan, so his behavior towards dohu just doesn’t feel worth it. I feel like I’m just repeating the same things over and over so I’m not going to keep replying but thanks for sharing your thoughts
