I hate how the author uses Christianism-like religion/setting. Can't she/he innovates instead of using a specific religion, even though it is not exactly the same... There's obviously a minor alterations... How disappointing...

They worshipped and have been deceived by a demøn/devïl. That wicked entity strike them when they're in their lowest/in despair moment—so he can easily manipulate them. That entity's appearance may look captivating and comforting—but it's all a mask to lure people in. Bcuz they're already hideous inside.
