All I’m doin is telling future readers who are similar in morality in terms of reading certain genres. To proceed with caution. It’s been nearly a month and I lowkey still think about what this could’ve been if they just stuck to having that sibling like dynamic☹…
Guys I was enjoying this manga so much, like it was so well written, I even read it at work on my break(I only do this when something is really interesting). The issue lies with Luca the main character who’s 14, and Zoe’s, who’s 27 but has the mental age of a 9 yr old. I dropped this at chapter 14 becuz I initially thought they had the relationship of a big bro and little sis. And was enjoying that aspect of their relationship. But then Luca starts moving like he’s in love with Zoe… and Zoe develops a crush on luca(which I think is fairly normal for a 9 yr old lol). I’m thinking maybe it’ll be a denji and power type thing, where it’s explored but then they’re like “nah we’re more siblings/friends/companions(denji and power have such a unique relationship that idek what to call it but it wasn’t romantic)”. I then search it up cuz I kinda don’t wanna get anymore invested if this is true. And it was true they become romantically involved, as in Luca falls for 9 yr old Zoe, and Zoe who matures in a year and is now her physical age mentally, falls for 14 year old Luca. It’s just a bit nasty, and I think if they were side characters that appeared only a little I could ignore it, BUT THIS IS THE MAIN CAST. I can’t ignore it and I’m honestly so tired of JP authors doin this. Is it everyday weird ass romance, I would’ve even appreciated normal romance in this. I’m just so pissed cuz this easily could’ve been a 9.6-9.7 scoring manga, as from what I’ve read in 14 chapters it is insanely goodddd. Like so so so so soooooo good, but this being a main facing subplot I don’t think I want to invest anymore time into it. I’m just so annoyed and sad☹
