hmmmm tbh

honestly if you look at it at inseops dream gi jeong only killed the person that was harassing him for a some time that affected his business as such.
whereas inseop did those murders that apply the same standards from his dream (and keep in mind he had already done multiple within a short amount of time) he started targeting ppl close to gijeong. ah not only that its inaccurate when he refers to his dream and himself being “normal” how can you dream of becoming someone you never were in the first place?
the realisation is that even though he thinks he loves gijeong or genuinely does love her but doesnt have the inability to do so, psychopaths can never gain emotions, but can come to an understanding of it and mimick it appropriate for those situations. inseops parents were just there and didnt really do anything tbh, for a psychopath nurturing is an essential part on who they’ll become as a person which they failed to do so.
anyways back to the topic off hand, he realised he can never gain gijeongs love as he became the very thing he’s been getting rid off and inherently never became the person that gijeong would rely on.
hence why deciding to kill himself bc those feelings of want and possession will never cease and will only further worsen (as if its not gotten alr to that point but ykwim)
the ironic thing is inseop killing himself is his last ounce of “normalcy” as a person but ofc only to the person they couldnt obtain.
its poetic in a way.
i really do love this manhwa bc we finally get an ending that is neither good or bad. good bc gijeong (and others associated by her) gets to escape the grasp of inseop, bad because she’ll be traumatised by this entire ordeal.
its moreso a realistic ending that not every antagonist will get their way.
refreshing also bc we have been so conditioned with fictions with toxic relationships of the “bad” side getting their way and the victim developing stockholm syndrome. not only that most fics really cant execute well reasons as to why those characters chose to stay and always lead up to shallow guilt tripping but thats a rant for another time.
