I'm curious, what makes them hate you so much that you hate them so unilaterally? It's one of my favourite tropes, but I know it's pretty popular to hate. And even though I love the trope, I definitely don't always enjoy it, if it's habdled badly.
I just wonder what makes someone hate it 100% of the time
Most of my ill feelings comes from how popular it used to be, in nearly every book or fic or movie I took part jn, the part would come where someone would wake up not knowing who they or the people around them and it would be this entire arc of what I just personally deemed pointless. If it happened in a show I was watching all the cool stuff I was waiting to see got put on hold bc the mc was basically back at the beginning.

I guess looking back maybe I was consuming poor examples of the trope, but I still have little interest to engage with it.
I have hated amnesia plot lines since I started reading. I don't like them in movies or books or any media I consume. Pretty much always end up dropping whatever it is because I just despise them so much. Well, love really does conquer all. I care about mc way more than I should, theres no way I can drop this- I need to see his happy ending. I swear its going to fix something in me to see him living happy and healthy with his ml.
