like, when the bottom mentioned about his past and how he came to love drawing men (especially after sex), or how he came to drawing as an outlet for his personality, they whole investigative process that actually went into eliminating prime suspects (I mean, you gotta be fr w me here, he just saw someone that "looks" like they're on drugs and happens to have an accent without considering medical conditions like?? ) those are all just mentioned/shown in a passing or just very briefly
Yeah, I enjoyed this but I admit that it left me a little disappointed. On top of that, there’s a longer discussion that could (and imo SHOULD) have been had around the relationships the bottom has, even now. He’s in a much safer and more comfortable relationship now but his willingness to be around older, and more dangerous men is definitely something that could’ve been explored. Along with how the adults in his life shaped him.
It doesn’t fly over my head that this kid clearly didn’t have safe enough people to rely on. His dad being gay isn’t an issue but def may have influenced how he took care of him, based on the fact he was sleeping with someone when his kid looked like he was just coming home from school and he got groomed in hs by a random dude who is clearly not safe to be around. Think it could’ve explored the top deeper too, we barely know much about him and we really skirted over how he got that scar.
yeah kinda just ended up half baked, the two has a fun dynamic but taking it to this dramatic crime direction while being super underwriten makes it just whatever
The art is great but the plot is lowk lacking so it's kinda mid. The concept of the bottom having this 'idgaf about your opinion i just wanna express myself through art' is a great chara but because the author tried to add other dilemma (like the mentor along with the top's narration giving us less insight on the actual thought process of the bottom) that kinda muddled the essence of it. Just wish that it was longer just so tht they could do each variables some justice.
