tbh, a lot of the things in this manhwa isn't portrayed in a heavy light despite the themes being inherently dark - like his brother's bullying/abuse of him & his crazy senior as well. it's how the story wants to be written. despite that, yeah, people are gonna react badly because at its core, dohee's a persistent sexual harasser & jolly homewrecker. the "comedic way" of his homewrecking is unfortunately not even funny the way other manhwas have been to me, & it might be because mc's j had way too many harassers to deal with. i know our standards in yaoi should be lower than the depths of satan's personal jail in hell, but yeah. even if someone doesn't get in between another's relationship, it's the concept of their audacity that's irritating
The history between Suhan and his brother was definitely super short and not developed, what happened with Gilhan too was treated super lightly imo, but Dohee? He's a jackass but he's not a homewrecker, just a wannabe one, since he needs to wreck a home first and he just won't do it, there's no chance at all.
Like, there's no way, AT ALL, that he'll make Suhan cheat. He's there because he either went through something and that's why he's a slut (?), or because he will be taught a lesson by another character, and my gut tells me it'll be Gilhan.
Also, I personally don't care that much about BL and any other comic sticking to real life morals. As long as there's no pedophilia, bestiality, romantisation of rape and physical/sexual assault, and perhaps a few things I'm forgetting, I'm fine with whatever I'm reading.
And maybe I don't mind as much as other people do, because I had a feeling Dohee would pay for his idiocy from the very first time I saw him.
And I don't like him either, but people are acting like they never read manga or manhwa before I'd understand the outrage if there was something more violent, but his harassment is treated in a "comedic" way because Suhan doesn't think he's actually dangerous, but more like an annoyance.
Also, he's two chapters away from shitting his pants in fear. I believe he's in this side story for a reason, but there's 0% chance he'll come between Suhan and Cheongyeon.
