Right like when he met him at the museum and when he heard Heejae talk bad about garam which he absolutely wanted to hear because his ego can't handle that such a grand maestro loves someone else other than him so when he heard that thing he bought that shit and believed it and was kind of relieved.
I think its pretty obvious that to some degree Compton is still longing for the professor. I really want to see his reaction to their relationship, i bet he feels a pit in his stomach like this little guy got everything you desired huh
