I'm actually so invested in the plot of this whole series. The concept of shamanism and talismans was what got me intrigued in the first place. I'm a little sad that we haven't gotten to the meaty portion of the story yet. I wanna know so much more about the shaman rituals they do every week. For one, what type of talismans are they making? What kind of illness or ill-fate does the dad have for him to be doing this shit every WEEK, not even after a year or few months. How the son plays a role in all of this, his significance in warding off whatever evil it is that surrounds his dad. Is the son taking on the misfortune of the dad then? His nightmares seem pretty bad, is he going to be losing years off of his own life to give to his dad? Kind of like giving your qi (life force) to someone.
And the shaman seems like a significant character, like he has his own motives and story.
