Since i have read there's novel too ...i kinda know there thought process koi really cares for chase he keeps asking abt him from grayson in deflower me and was sad when chase didn't show up..we see chase as a lonely character because he understands emotions ashley treated chase and all the alpha siblings the same it's just that chase function like a normal human being and other alpha kids don't...ash and koi respect chase decision to not intervene in his life that doesn't mean they don't care. ashley was even regretful in deflower me that he ruined his and koi's relationship with chase
You are mistaken here, it's not the parents but the children. They are same with all the children, except for Bliss who got the special attention from them. Chase cut off from them as he was able to understand and feel emotions so he felt he wasn't being loved. It's the same case for Grayson but here it's Grayson who don't see them as horrible as chase did. For him he knows that whatever the parents are doing is for his own good that's why he don't even consider the abuse he went thru as abuse. The parents are same, they are attentive to chase as well. Even he is not in contact, they always keep track of what he is doing and even help out with all the lawsuits of Chase. They did everything for chase as well. It's the children who sees them differently. Chase saw them as horrible that's how we saw them too. Grayson sees them as protective parents that's how we are seeing them now. And Grayson actually make efforts to be in contact with every family member whether they want him or not. If chase will go to the parents, they will be like that with him too.
Also , it's Grayson who involves them in his lives and share everything with them. By the end, when they saw Grayson taking step that none of them could, that's what made them change.
Just hit the last page of the novel and honestly, I’m feeling kinda mixed. it's actually super wholesome and I genuinely loved it,
BUT I need to vent about Koi and Ash. I can't shake off this bitter taste about how Koi and Ash are just so naturally involved in Grayson’s life. Like, they’re doing the whole parenting thing for him, but where was that same energy for Chase? I get that Grayson is the 'special' kid who needs extra care, but Chase’s whole childhood was traumatic because of Grayson... he need his parents too. but Where were Koi and Ash then? Don't get me wrong, i love what they're doing for grayson in dmiyc, buti don't see them for chase in kmiyc..
It just made me realize how devastatingly lonely Chase’s life was before Josh came along ╥﹏╥
