I also think he died, since the last few panels show his face in a very bad state, and then just them the way they met the first time. I think they reunited in the afterlife.
no he didn’t die. he hallucinated, which is why he is shown holding the flower in his hand at the end after being shown with yeohwan (? i forgot the name already )
