Demon Knight, our Mc, has a few mental issues going on in his head in the future, mostly because of him missing his family and friends that helped him when he was at his lowest, where he was basically doing nothing most of his day, smoking, and trash everywhere in his apartment (from how they talk about not wanting to go to his apartment) despite this, the Mc genuinely the kindest little boy I’ve ever seen, he still keeps up his demon knight persona, but saves people and children over himself, the burden he also carries from having to house 2 different souls in his body, one that basically wants him to give up and let her take control (Wrath) and one basically apologizing for bringing him into this which disheartens him a bit (Original DK) the Mc basically despite all this has something similar to what you’d describe how Spider-Man acts with his heart, protecting others over himself, but his mental state and physical state have been so gutted overtime in just the past year of the game he couldn’t handle it, he never got to cry, he never got to act himself and apologize, he only ever saw his loved ones in his dreams making him miss them more, all he could do was draw his family once from perfect memory (he was a WEBTOON artist), after a siege battle against the sin of Greed (I think that’s who it was) I believe that’s where he learned that he could possibly return (?) if he died in the game, but he decided to stay because he couldn’t leave the others behind as they’ve grown on him, little to zero of his game mechanics and assistances work anymore later on, and he eventually runs away after getting nearly executed by the people he saved at the cost of his mental health and physical health
