oh my god right? this story has had barely any filler before this, and now there TWO back to back filler parts that are kind of uninteresting
It was perfect imo, until they dragged out the plot and now fillers
it's fine if you don't like an arc but this is like... definitionally not a filler arc.
like if you want major exposition battle to battle to battle with no downtime that's up to you but introducing new recurring characters + portraying travel + elaborating on character motivations that haven't come up before all further the plot. ynt is CRAZY efficiently paced for a shounen manga.
Dont bother telling them this, check their acc and they mostly just read slops. Ymtg is already very straightforward in dropping hints and preparing us toward climax in every arcs. The fact all they can comprehend is summer vacation fillers meant they wouldn't understand your point at all

And ive only read earlier parts of the manga and and skipped throught the earliest chapter, and i personally do not like 'summer events'

you're good! I don't have anything against you or not liking those tropes/arc at all, just usually find it frustrating that the term filler gets misused a lot
I would say if you want to avoid summer events modern setting shounen manga is gonna disappoint you almost every time they're ADDICTED to summer arcs (￣∇￣")
