He has liked the MC and only the MC ever since he was overseas. He basically thought of MC the entire time he was there pursuing his golfing career. He realized that MC doesn’t have any romantic interest in him. So he seeks advice from his friends/family in a group chat lmao. Which consists of the coach, the uncle, and the uncle’s wife (I may have forgot whose wife it is). They all give him advice in how to get MC to like him. The wife is the voice of reason to the two other dude’s bad advice lol. The wife says to take his approach slow or he’ll scare MC off (cause ML is the type to straight up go after what he wants and MC is the type to run away from such advances). I think the wife said to test how much the MC starts to like him by using the ex as an excuse. The advice does work though, because if the exes weren’t involved MC wouldn’t feel jealousy and likely wouldn’t see him. So ML never liked his ex after he got back.

Here’s one scene: when the ex picked up the ML’s phone, ML actually let him take his phone to answer. ML wanted to see whether MC really cared enough to come pick him up. MC did end up going as soon as the ex said to go there if he wants. Which helped ML realize that MC’s thoughts towards him changed
