agreed! the worst part is that the author is dead set on portraying the king as a good father who cares about his son, but looking at his actions objectively is that really the case? NO
the ML has severe CPTSD from being kidnapped and spending his formative years in highly stressful and violent places.. but his dad wants to give him the crown? over the prince who was literally raised in his bros place to be king?
that’s so fucking selfish. what a douchebag king and dad to discredit the years of dedication from the second prince, and to try and put some horrifically mentally ill person in a highly stressful position against his will. i don’t even think anyone has even asked the ML if he wants to be king.. also the FL is unfortunately very bland, and only exists to provide emotional support to the ML.. like an ESA dog for a captive cheetah. that’s it.
