I know Ahyeon's personality is f*cked up but lets go back to the problem when she was just a child that was not addressed 'cause her family was u know... And here, So-I being loved and so whatever... Her personality is so infuriating being so timidly and innocently which is by the way true. Just cannot accept it.
So? Just because ayeon's backstory is sad and depressing does that mean so-i and us can excuse her behaviour to ppl around her? So-i saw her friend befriending (in this case prolly in love) the bully who ruined her life, so-i may have a lovely family etc but since when that kind of things is a pass for someone to hurt other bfr rn. So-i didnt deserves being isolated and bullied from ayeon. If you think so-i is burdening sol with her "tantrums", pls noted that so-i was the one who actually knew how btchy ayeon is. She doesnt want sol to be hurt, and she also feel like sol is furthering away from her, the person who gave so-i the courage to start her own life again. Hating on someone just because shes timid and having a better life is so lame brother
I get what you mean but we have different understandings and biased judgements okay. I see So-I as polarizing character—someone who isn't designed to be "universally likable" but complexity as it is, her character tends to resonate with readers like You who lean towards introspective, flawed protagonists.
Cmon So-i didn't have any friends and Sol is the reason why she got back to school and finally having friends.
like imagine your very best friend comes close to your bully, and the bully uses ur precious friend to mock and cause more harm to you.. which actually resulted of Sol being harmed in the end. So-i is right for being worried and holding back Sol for being close with Ahyeon. So-i did said that she's aware of limiting Sol for socializing even with Ahyeon. A good friend is the one who looks out for you, Ahyeon still lied through the end let's just see it out how her position will play, Again So-i's actions are valid she's a sensitive type of person maybe that's how she can easily absorbed the surroundings through her art.
Have experienced bullying before? school or work? cuz if u did it will be easy to understand So-i's position. all of their personalities has a role here, she's a sensitive one and surrounded by the best people anyone could have and those people also have their own struggles, BUT you're more focused on So-i's weakness because she's the main victim here just right next to the protagonist and the bully. depression is no joke, the Author Captured it perfectly here, she's not weak/loser or an idiot her sensitive personality is what makes her a prodigy and a best friend to Sol.
Honestly I did experience being bullied and humiliated at school but it doesn't mean I have to crumble. I don't give my bullies any chances to continue tormenting just because they can and just wan't to. The whispers and gazes hurts but does it stop you from living happily?? One can just confide to someone about your problems but it does not mean you can burden them to.

I really hate So-I, she burdens Sol too much about her personal issues... Like duh!!!
