Like idk they don’t act like high schoolers or look like high schoolers and that’s whatever, it’s not great but it’s a kitschy staple of the genre and im used to it. Themes of DV or abuse and neglect fit bc that’s something that a lot of kids actually have to grapple with, same with poverty and homophobia, but *self-determination and becoming an executioner bc you believe in a persons right to die instead of withstand pallative care*?
