I'm honestly a bit surprised with the amount of very positive comments
I have to say, the artstyle was very beautiful and convinced me to give it a read, character designs were very, well, correct I suppose, the idea for the plot was not particularly refreshing, but you definitely can't call it bad by any means. The one thing that bothered me, however, was the way the characters were oversimplified as the story progressed, each falling into the well known archetype, making their development feel almost random and unfounded. Not wanting to spoil anyone, I will try not to go into details regarding certain plot points, but they are almost jarringly average. Even more, some of the scenes felt distasteful and lazy, on the edge of consensual, portrayal of the characters was not aligned with the previous concept of them. I commend the author for their ambition, however I feel that creating both a hole-less plot, focusing on world building *and* writing characters in a consistent, compelling way, might've been a bit too much for 10 chapters. I haven't looked deeper into their other works, perhaps they're better, perhaps not, I think the manhwa format and the characteristic pacing makes it difficult to tell a story in a way that would play into its strengths while covering the weak points.
To be fair, this is just my own opinion, based on my own feelings that were born while reading this piece. I wish I could say that the concept of the plot is just not my thing, but unfortunately it is very much my thing, I love supernatural/fantasy media, this was simply written in a way that stripped it of its potential to pure mediocrity. However, if you disagree, that's completely fine, perhaps I'm more nitpicky than I thought, but I am very particular about character development.
If you don't mind the repetitive nature of the genre, it's a good read.
