In the story we are presented with the fl and ml being very much opposites to each other in terms of their love and perspectives. We see from her side that he’s not very responsive and she’s quite open on her love.
Of course we see he’s fallen now, in the latest chapter, however she’s not seen this side to him fully.
And so when she gets visions of the future, she’s not going to feel very inclined to continue her behaviour if he’s not responsive. It’s not just the whole “I might die” so “I must give up” it’s “he’s not going to care” as well. She wants to be wanted too. Her way of going about it is fairly healthy too, gaining hobbies and friends outside of her usual comfort zone. :) very proud she does that.
