Idk why but I have a feeling that heejae feels a lot of shame over his choice... Like he's so used to choosing music that he can't imagine breaking that pattern, but he's also surprised himself that garam and music essentially take up the same amount of space in his heart. And he most definitely doesn't want garam aware of this choice because it could harm their rls, even though I think garam has lower expectations for him than he thinks
