putting filters on a real picture can most definitely mush letters together, csp has a quickfilter that provides this very effect. Ive used this on my own backgrounds before and csp will distort and simplify an image to make it less realistic. it doesnt steal from artists and creates slop; it pops the main colors out while keeping within tolerance lines from the original, creating this interesting distortion due to forming lines from a real life image
