i read this a good 2 years ago and i came back just to see the comments, and THANK you. ive been saying how AWFUL this was and it just kept getting worse and everything was brushed aside it actually breaks my heart how its completely normalized

Totally agree. It's not that it isnt redeemable. The author just DOESN'T want it to be redeemable. Like there are scenes where mc is genuinely going through something. And there were so MANY opportunities for mc and ml to have honest to God dialogue. But then the author seems allergic to it so he/she defaults to let's-make-ml-do-ahole-shit-and-mc-gets-flustered-but-chibified in almost EVERY time. Completely normalizes things that are unresolved. The last part was the CLOSEST to any honest dialogue but by that time,i am just so done

This story aside, actually this is me with movies/film too tbh. Like when i check out the review, someone could probably give that movie a 1/5 rating and trash talk about each characters, how the story is "cheap" or etc. But.... Sometimes i just like random movie/film cause i just like it??
When i said i like to watch or read something, it doesn't need the level of complexity like "Dark" (German netflix series) or "three body problems" (sci-fi Chinese novel) type of story.... Sometimes i read/watch "predictable" plot or cliche characters and said "yeah i enjoy it" but doesn't mean it's good GOOD like S-tier good
Beside i think the manhwa u mentioned actually has a solid characterization, yeah the story is indeed fucked up (like that's literally the point) but the characters are not one or two dimensional like how most characters in manhwa these days are...

What a freakin nightmare. what a waste of my time. like pushy INCONSIDERATE AHOLE ml just acting all cutsie and "pRoTecTivE" and "oBsSEd" with mc and EVERY READER would go "aaaaaaaaawwwww" x wishy washy mc. huh. now that im thinking bout it, they do deserve each other. ml was just unlikeable until the very end. no regard whatsoever for mc (the fact that he outed him to his parents like that?
