I was rereading this n almost skipped over the side stories, honestly wanted to, should’ve maybe done that…but I forced myself to read it cuz I actually skipped reading it entirely until the main couple appeared again in the epilogue when I first read it. Plus the two times I’ve reread this before too lol. I remember the first time when I saw the side stories I just kept scrolling down quickly n checked if the main couple would appear by the end or halfway lol. Obviously since I skipped it I didn’t know more than the wat the main story told us. About their relationship, but I did see them kinda make up…. Which was shit… So this is actually the first time Im properly reading more about Mr. Lee and that animal. Nah wait, calling him n animal is an insult to all animals, Doori and Weonsik.
Genuinely, as a patient person myself, I want Mr. Lee to stop being…. “Patient”. Ik we don’t see them actually get back together but the ending of their story sure left it open like it would eventually head that way. N considering how they were acting by the end of the main story they probably alrdy kinda were by then. He’s an asshole, an abuser, full of himself, a serial cheater and we find out he’s even a fucking rapist in the side stories. Mr. Lee’s side stories should’ve been him meeting someone better, someone who doesn’t treat him like shit, someone who respects him, someone who actually does the bare minimum AND MORE, someone who loves him for who he rlly is, and cherishes him and the child he’s gonna have soon. SOMEONE WHOS NOT ABUSIVE N FORCES THEMSELVES ON HIM. Even that would’ve been better. Heck even being single is fine. Honestly the side stories make me even madder knowing the fact that they’re r irl ppl who go through the same thing, maybe even worse, n still stay, or go back to their abuser…
