The ecology of this world is confusing...

If this continent had that much rain naturally, then the plants that grew there would be naturally water resistant. And if it really never stops raining, then those plants would also be really sensitive to burning in direct sunlight. The ground would be constantly waterlogged and swampy. And their agricultural system would probably be tree fruit based since trees are a lot more tolerant of excess water. They definitely wouldn't be trying to grow root vegetables or grassy grains.
