I read it by translating it, and from the looks of it, the FL gives the ML a magic ring that will turn his body into his 15 or 16-year-old self so he can be shorter and appear as a girl.
I read the novel before, and in it, the ml goes to the party wearing a revealing outfit as his male self so everyone will think the fl has a male partner. This way, neither male nor female will approach her. But today, I went to see the raw manga, and from the looks of it, the male lead will most likely use magic, like the female lead, to turn into a woman. I also don't think they will keep the revealing outfit either. I really don't like this; I had hoped they would keep it like the original.
