I don't understand why shoujo authors keep on adding male leads just to make the story straight when there's a girl out there already making the mc's heart flutter... The love interest is genuinely just existing just to make this straight but I guess the author is too much of a coward/straight things just get more profits(much more likely reason tbh) and it just makes me so sad...TT
