This story is just so perfect, it's a well written slow burn, with a will they won't they well executed too, I even think this is one of the few stories where adding and actually reading the sex scenes are necessary, and it never fails to make me cry
Also, whoever said Hyunsoo was unbearable, yall don't get him like I do bro omg I love him
Seo Hyunsoo doesn't know kindness and feels uncomfortable with even the idea of it.
All he knows is to be rough, to head on, and act upon arrival
He knows he's not a decent person, he says it himself, he's a sex frustrated workaholic, and a short tempered perfectionist, he doesn't know any other way, because "any other way" would mean showing others his ugly side, a side that has caused him to be ostracized
The idea of being vulnerable and so open with someone feels like they're directly looking at him, judging him
He can't even look at himself and accept his ugly sides, what makes him think anyone would think differently, that's why is so hard to him to make friends, to open up
Accepting love and help would mean letting other people see your most weakest and most pittyful sides.
He has all these ideas about himself, yet he doesn't even notice how he constantly has little cracks that lets out when he's with Baek Youngchan, he says he doesn't like awkward situations yet this whole time he's been leading their relationship, one that he doesn't want to let go, he says he has all this rules in his life, yet he's the one inviting Youngchan to his apartment, or on weekend plans UYHGHHH
and the first time he leans on Baek, his whole persona falls apart completely, he's now used to having company that let's him be himself without the need of a "perfectionist" mask, he can no longer go back to his regular schedule, that's why he feels so uneasy being alone, why he wants Youngchan's company alll thr time, it's like when you give a cat some premium can food, they now refuse to eat any other kind
For me he's such a complex human character AND I LOVE HIM FOR THAT
