I am loving the mystery so far and I guess it maybe a part so that the story can progress, but I find the FL a bit meddlesome.
Like because she wants more information about the family she let that Becky maid into her room and ask some questions. Which I think broke the rules? She also keeps on talking to eldest when it was already in the rules to not pay attention to him. She even thought of keeping the marmalade. I just thought she is “unknowingly” creating risky situations for her. I guess I need to give credit for being brave on solving the mystery in the manor. I would be scared-shit if I was on her situation and will really just follow the rules by the book and just do my duties as quietly as possible until I finish the contract. I am really a coward. Well I’m not FL material, I am probably be an extra who will be one of those who die in any story.
