it explains it more in the novel but the duke family is very strong physically in exchange for no mana and astrid know that and the reason why astrid favours our mc is because mages adore those with more mana than themselves but yeah she does treat them rough in the novel especially the duke not that he minds anyways
I don't really mind her being rough to the duke. But her child... I know they'll prob will have no emotion like the duke, but for now, we can see that her children still have theirs
I find that weird as well. I dont think the author shouldve added that part. I specially cant imagine the eldest sons pain when his mother suddently just dropped and slept for years and years. And now she doesnt want him and tan? I cant imagine the pain he wouldve felt. Thats why i cant ficking stand manhwas where the family basically ignores the sons and dote on the daughters 10x more
But idk... I think the duke and his fams slowly got better. Tho there is still a talk about sacrifice, but they lowk doting the MC. Despite not having emotion, they've tried their best.
I also kinda don't like how lady Astrid shoved away her own child just to kidnap MC. She knew that his husband actually cares about her but still choose divorce over MC who she barely knows (cmiiw, because it seems like that to me)
Yes, she is a wild and unique character, but if she ends up choosing or care for MC more than her own child... Imma drop this
