The first one goes from heart eyes to crying, and the second one goes from mad to dead. I dont necessarily think its literally dead is death but more of a representation of their spirits/feelings. Yeonseung goes from having a crush to being so unheart broken he "breaks the one wish willow" out of desperation. The Geonpil one is still to be revealed but think we all are feeling the sad ending here. My thought is he isnt going to die (which the shaman says this chapter) but this is going to kill his spirit.
