just to let you guys know, this is basically a shotacon story. ML (28) fell inlove with MC (13), an age gap of 15 years. bro was already learning shit at school while MC just got born.
even though the present time of the manga is when MC is 28 and ML being 32, shit is still bad. would've accepted it if ML actually hated MC when he was 13, like bro shouldn't have had any romantic feelings for a 13 year old. or to be exact, author shouldn't have specifically stated that MC was 13 that time, he could've made him like 18 or something, instead of making everyone realize the 15 year age gap.
and still, author might've tried to gloss it by adding information that MC's and ML's time gap was a bit different, which is why they currently have a 5 year age gap. shit still worse than before.
in the end, it's still an undeniable fact that ML is a pedophile.
and there are possible a shit ton of mangas that has the same problem with "age". and japan probably normalized that shit, cause i've seen at least 20 mangas/doujinshis with nearly the same plot, if not, they just outright say they're minors in a relationship with an adult.
