It's been a long time since I read it, but I belive there was a side story where Aeroc didn't die giving birth to their last kid. It's a scene where they are together at a picnic, I think, and they look at each other while their kids play. It is really bittersweet, because they know their sins so their guilt will always be there. Like they love each other in this really twisted and sad way
